We provide a broad range of diabetic shoes, both off the shelf and custom molded inserts, diabetic socks, compression hosiery and more. Our Pedorthist (specializing in foot health) finds solutions for your specific needs whether you’re looking for diabetic shoes, shoe modifications, or custom inserts. Using scanning equipment, we are able to produce inserts that meet the patient’s needs. Diabetic shoes are constructed to protect, provide uncompromised comfort and style. Their features include “Extra Depth” to accommodate custom insoles and orthotics. Other features include a Firm Heel counter for stability and protection, lightweight non-skid and non-wearing outsoles, padded tongue to help reduce friction and improve fit, and seamless top grain leather that shapes to the foot for enhanced comfort. We carry brands such as Dr. Comfort, Apex, StrideLite, Anodyne, and others. Diabetic Custom Inserts are often recommended to offer protection and accommodation to the Diabetic Feet. They provide relief from pressure, friction and skin trauma. Modifications can be added to the diabetic custom shoes/inserts to meet each patient’s foot pathologies such as: diabetes with callus formation, history of ulcerations, peripheral neuropathy and foot deformity. Custom toe Fillers are provided for patients with partial foot amputations, such as toe and ray amputations and/or transmetatarsal amputations. Heat Moldable Inserts provide medial and lateral stability for proper biomechanical support and balance. Heat moldable Inserts are often recommended for diabetic patients with sensitive feet, peripheral neuropathy and/or poor circulation. Proper footwear can help prevent more serious complications for those at risk of diabetes. If you qualify, Medicare or other insurance plans may help cover the cost.
